Hands Down She's Mother Of The Year!

According to CNN.com a Dallas mother had her daughter fake an essay in order to score tickets to a Hanna Montana concert. The sponsor of the contest, Club Libby Lu picked the 6 year old girl's essay which began with the line "My daddy died in Iraq this year." Local residents didn't recognize the name of the solider mentioned in the essay and neither did the Department of Defense.

The mother has now admitted the essay was a lie. She stated in an interview "we did the essay and that's what we did to win. We did whatever we could to win."

The girl won a makeover including a blonde Hannah Montana wig, as well as the grand prize: a plane trip for 4 to New Albany, New York and 4 tickets to the sold out Hannah Montana concert.

The store is considering taking away the girl's tickets.

I feel sorry for the little girl. This is the example her mother is setting for her. Plus she will probably lose the tickets and will have to go back to school after the Christmas break to be ridiculed by her classmates.

Hats off to the Mother. You are awesome.
